Care and Maintenance
It is recommended to first vacuum the mantel and/or surround with the brush attachment before using any liquid. If needed, clean with a sponge or soft cloth along with a mixture of mild liquid dish detergent and water.
DO NOT use cleaners containing bleach, ammonia, chlorine, or chemicals which may cause yellowing or other damage.
DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or acid.
DO NOT use sandpaper or steel wool to remove stains.
DO NOT allow spills such as coffee, tea, or soft drinks to remain on product. Remove immediately with a sponge or soft cloth.
As with any masonry type product, stains caused by crayons, candles, dye, ink marks, etc. may be difficult to remove and may require painting. Stains cover best if properly sealed prior to painting. Apply the paint with a sponge roller, not a brush.
